Wedding hashtags were a fabulous way to view wedding pictures from your family and friends’ perspectives when social media was new. Let’s be real, this popularity isn’t that surprising. Seriously, people love to share their life updates, images, and videos online. Whether straightforward or funny, it seemed like every wedding featured signs encouraging guests to post using their unique wedding hashtag. However, in 2023 couples are opting for unplugged weddings by asking guests not to use their phones to take pictures or videos and instead focus on the wedding and let the photographer and videographer do all the work.
FIREWORKS
Though certainly a fun wedding tradition, fireworks are a trend that’s on the way out. Yes, they are sparkly, romantic, and unforgettable. However, they can also cause significant damage not only to the wedding venue and your guests but also to the environment and animals. Avoiding fireworks doesn’t mean you have to skip out on the fun. Instead try blowing bubbles, a laser light show, eco-friendly glow sticks, and/or confetti (such as leaf and dried flower confetti).
