Wedding Trends you must check out

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: You don’t need a large bridal party at your wedding. Brides in 2023 want to keep stress and drama to a minimum. Choosing fewer people or skipping bridal parties altogether can make things a little easier and let you focus on each other and your closest friends and family.

As nontraditional as this might sound, it’s becoming increasingly popular to have a bright and vibrant wedding cake instead of  classic white. Whether you just aren’t a fan of a traditional white wedding cake or are inspired by the Pantone color of the year, this year is the perfect opportunity to forgo the white and bring a ton of personality and fun with bold wedding cake colors.

While wedding party entrances and exits are a classic wedding tradition, we’re seeing more and more couples opting out of the traditional way to enter and exit their ceremony and reception in 2023. Why have a flower girl when you can have a dog ring bearer or a flower groomsman? Why be traditional and formal when you can have fun? Thanks to social media, especially TikTok, unique ceremony  entrances and reception exits are on the rise.

Wedding Trends That Are Out in 2023

Wedding hashtags were a fabulous way to view wedding pictures from your family and friends’ perspectives when social media was new. Let’s be real, this popularity isn’t that surprising. Seriously, people love to share their life updates, images, and videos online. Whether straightforward or funny, it seemed like every wedding featured signs encouraging guests to post using their unique wedding hashtag. However, in 2023 couples are opting for unplugged weddings by asking guests not to use their phones to take pictures or videos and instead focus on the wedding and let the photographer and videographer do all the work.

Though certainly a fun wedding tradition, fireworks are a trend that’s on the way out. Yes, they are sparkly, romantic, and unforgettable. However, they can also cause significant damage not only to the wedding venue and your guests but also to the environment and animals. Avoiding fireworks doesn’t mean you have to skip out on the fun. Instead try blowing bubbles, a laser light show, eco-friendly glow sticks, and/or confetti (such as leaf and dried flower confetti).

The food at your wedding is one of the most important elements of the whole wedding day. Now more than ever, couples opt to forgo the traditional wedding dinner entirely. Whether it’s due to cost, timing, or a wish to serve something special. Think interactive food stations, wood-fired pizza, food and dessert trucks, fast food, bbq, and beer, or even build-your-own-plate. Anyone can enjoy these fun options regardless of dietary restrictions.

Planning a wedding is all about decisions, and if you’ve already found your dream wedding dress, it’s time to make a decision about your wedding shoes. In 2023 wedding shoes are not going to be as big of a deal as in previous years. It’s easy to get carried away by how your wedding shoes look and if they match the dress and the wedding theme. In 2023, there’s only two important things you need to pay attention to when it comes to buying bridal shoes, and that’s the fit and the price! So choose what you feel comfortable in. There are plenty of beautiful shoe styles that look just as beautiful as high heels while providing long-lasting comfort on your wedding day! And most importantly, you don’t need to break the bank to purchase them!
